The Bearpit Improvement Group is looking for entries to our “Beauty in the Bearpit” competition. The origin for our group came from spotting beauty in a supposedly ugly part of Bristol, and this is your chance to do the same.
The brief? To submit one photo of the hidden urban beauty of Bristol that the public might not know about. Ten selected photographs will be shared as part of a new outdoor photography show in the Bearpit. This is a fantastic chance to have your work viewed by hundreds of people, and be part of an incredible community project.
The deadline is January 31st, 2014. Please email entries to [email protected]
Please see exact brief and criteria below.
Brief: We’d like to invite participants to enter 1 entry that will depict the beauty the public of Bristol may not know of. We want to showcase the different sides of our beloved city and shine light where beauty is hiding.
Criteria: This competition is open to the people of Bristol. 10 of the best entries will be picked. We ask that applicants may only submit 1 photo. All photos must be submitted in .jpeg or pdf and of 300dpi. We will be accepting photographs that have been digitally modified and that are of mixed media. The final image will be printed in A0 and shared with the people of Bristol. We ask that applicants submit 50 words describing the beauty they are showcasing, alongside the photograph.
